IRON MAN 2 AND 3 WERE TRASH BY THE WAY @fader

If 3 was trash, how did it make a billion? I thought y’all said Superman movies don’t sell because they’re bad films?

The last solo Iron Man movie was in 2013, and grossed more than every Superman movie ever

Animated shows that 14 people watch don’t really factor into the conversation of who is the more relevant character

This “grossed more than every Superman ever” narrative is crazy cuz if niggas wanna go back to 80s movies than we have to adjust for inflation

And you keep bringing up “14 people watch” when it’s literally a successful show amongst the demographics that matter.

Even leaving out that he has been a fixture in media for years over iron man dude

Superman was that guy for a long time, decades even, but right now in big 2024 he is not a more relevant and culturally loved hero than Iron Man is, he’s just not

Yea. It’s almost like Iron Man 3 came out after a successful Avengers movie and Justice League 2017 came out after a divisive Bvs movie

Is the argument over who's more relevant rn ?

he has changed the goal post to that

Movie merch selling out a whole year before the movie comes out shows anticipation for the movie does it not??

I'm more interested in how the DC rebrand has the chance to propel them into the space occupied by Marvel rn. Y'all can have the iron man v Superman debate I'm good lol

Y’all said Man of Steel numbers weren’t great because the movie wasn’t great.

If Iron Man 3 wasn’t great, how did it sell a billion?

The real answer here is that the quality of a movie has little effect on its’ box office when we’re talking about summer blockbuster popcorn flicks.

The Fast & Furious franchise has made billions

nah I am asking him. Even when I stayed 100% on one central thing he brought it to "relevant and loved" when this started as which IP itself INCLUDING ALL MEDIA is more well known

Yeah it is you literally claimed superman didn't get a solo sequel due to boxoffice

It's kinda scary that just a little bit of context like this is confusing you so much

They think it’s 1996 and Superman is still the most relevant comic book character in the planet

    Literally does.

You’re using Man Of Steels sales as proof as to why a solo Superman sequel got shelved when the cold feet towards Superman didn’t happen until after Snyder killing him off and Justice League 2017 flopping gave them pause.

Then you brought up Aquaman and Shazam sequels being greenlit when they were DCEU tryna pick up ashes that the 2016 / 2017 wildfire left in its wake.

Do you think these studios care about how a movie performed critically?

All they see is the bottom line.

If “the most relevant superhero in the world” had a movie that did great at the box office, that sequel is getting greenlit day one. End of story.

Bro the whole “Man Of Steel numbers aren’t great” argument was started from you cuz you made the bench mark for a movie doing great A BILLION dollars

Me @SUPERMAN @WT777 @mjpplus and others have all agreed that MOS doing 600+ million as a stand alone Superman movie after the last one was received so poorly is good numbers especially when comparing them to Batman Begins and Iron Man 1.
Now you comparing the first installment of the DCEU to Iron Man 3 when by the time Iron Man 3 came out the MCU already had the audiences trust due to s*** like Captain America movies and the Avengers a year prior.

This is why we keep saying you’re losing the plot.

If you strictly compare the DCEU Superman movies to the MCU iron man movies you can see that they consistently made more money until DCEU lost the public’s good faith.

That is what we’ve been saying
