The book could also be the Necronomicon instead of the Darkhold. Necronomicon was made based on a part of the Darkhold. Necronomicon also is able to create portals between realities and between times. It can also be used to summon Lucifer (not Mephisto). The funny thing is that the Necronomic directly connects to Raimi too because it can also create Deadites. The book visually also resembles the Necronomicon more than it does the Darkhold in the comics in my opinion
