The meat and potatoes of the line is in the “love persevering” part. If we break it down, there’s some interesting poetic stuff going on.

First, the personification of a powerful emotion is always resonant. Of course love can’t literally persevere just like the wind can’t literally sing but it’s an effective comparison. In this case, it’s especially powerful also because the sentiment of love going on even through pain

But the idea of love persevering - as powerful as it is - isn’t that unique. However, when that idea is used to describe grief? That’s on another level. Partly because when people grieve, they are like delicate vases that can be broken, and grief is seen as a horrible and dark thing to go through. So to describe grief as something with beauty really hits hard
