Episode 2 of Loki pretty much confirmed for me that Black Widow dropping after Episode 5 is not coincidence lol I think the entire Black Widow film May very well take place in an alternative time line but either way, it’s definitely all tying into each other

Yep plans changed due to covid and then they changed again to this specific date right after episode 5. It’s not coincidence. I’m now 99.9% sure of this. Why not drop black widow A month ago? 2 months ago? We now have this specific episode to point to as the moment the multiverse is created and things presumably fall into chaos after that, the consequences of which we know at least 2 forthcoming films will be dealing with and potentially all future films will be dealing with in some capacity, so why then drop a “prequel” film dedicated to a character that is presumably dead right in the middle of that? Marvel doesn’t do one offs so what is the significance of the black widow film anyway to the over arching story? Simply to give us a glimpse into what she was up to in between a time and phase that is now over? I doubt it. Maybe a year ago when it was originally suppose to drop but no way that’s the case now.

The significance is that it fleshes out Natasha's past while introducing us to the character that will pick up the mantle. I'm confident there will be a BW2\.
