So cool seeing that Steve is still apart of the show and isn’t sidelined

This would have been SO f***in dope to see Agent Carter go this route if the show didn’t get cancelled

    ?
The marvel cinematic universe? It's generally based on many comics that are different timelines and characters, while telling its own story. What If kicks off a cinematic multiverse.

If you know these characters a bit you should be fine watching this, maybe you'll miss how different events turned out, but I'm sure you could know Captain America is a super soldier that Iron Man's dad helped create on you own. This might be the most accessible Disney+ Marvel show since it just revisits a movie and changes the events from one moment that went different.

yea you don't gotta read the comics at all even tho knowledge of things would make you appreciate the MCU more

jus watch the movies/disney+ shows in release order and look up things as you go

Ahh so this sounds great also is there any point in even trying to keep up with marvel comics wise since there’s so many series and alternate realities? Is there any self contained stories and also comics to follow that are in sync with the films? Also does the recent shows tie in with the MCU?

The MCU is built on adapting superheroes and merging their many existing comic book stories into an original plot that works for the movies they make and the story they want to tell. No comic will ever tell an exact story that DC/Marvel will tell identically in a movie, since I'm guessing you imagined it being like how Anime is an adaptation of Manga.

Like a random example is the way they decided to rewrite many villain's motives or origins to be linked to Iron Man's actions since he's already an essential character to the franchise's world. Even Spider-Man, who has many versions in which he does a lot on his own, is re-written in this franchise to be the young superhero Iron Man decides to mentor and gift a professional suit to.

Having knowledge on many of the essential characters and storylines that have existed in the comics is ideal, especially for fan-service, but not actually necessary. I spent my teenage years getting into comics and I'm still not familiar with a lot of the characters or story they plan on adapting lol. Aside from looking into the essential reads, the easiest way to learn about what goes on in comics is probably watching videos from people passionate about the topic or various movie/cartoon/series adaptations of the comics.

  • Why they gotta do my boy Steve like that though 😔 why the fake out and then do it fr right after like that’s f***ed up especially since that love aspect was cute as s*** for them but I’m not gonna lie at one point I thought Howard was gonna smack those cheeks no kizzy

Ah okay I mean even jumping into comics without the prior knowledge you just gave I can def tell I was going to f*** myself over. It’s a lot but do you think I should avoid any continuity and go straight for completed reads? At which comics do think are good jumping in points?
