Marvel catching a dub cause i know this movie is doing well rn. My theater was packed in Friday and i had niggas in my DM asking how the movie was

All these marvel haters on social media and YouTube thinking this was going to be bad crying rn

this movie was absolute gas

The trajectory for the first half of the movie made me think it was going to be top 3 mcu easy, maybe best overall. I really really liked it, but I wasn't as immersed once the movie made the full on switch to cgi-land. Action sequences and the highs from the first 75% of the movie have it in my top 5 for sure though.

It was cool I'm glad I saw it. But it reminds me why I could only catch the hyped Marvel films bc even then some things annoyed me but the rest was good enough for it not to matter

honestly as a kid i was never into comics but i was into anime and manga and always thought american comics were very corny, i really only started liking marvel when iron man came out

that being said this was such a f***ing amazing movie to watch bro, every single anime inspired movie is so garbage and the mcu really blew it out of the water with how great the fantasy inspired elements were in the movie. also the fight choreography

already loved kims conveninence so seeing simu go crazy was so fire and tony leung was incredible !!!!!

As for the movie, I enjoyed it. Fight scenes were so fire and Awkwafina wasn't as annoying as I thought she would be

Apparently China not really f***in with this film cuz they consider Simu Liu and Awkwafina ugly and chinese culture being westernized

Marvel chose to do their Chinese superhero film based on a comic book with racist stereotypical origins

It's not really going to convince China who already be skeptical with the history of how they are presented in western media to give it a chance

Ngl I'm not totally familiar with Shang Chi's comic story tbh
