Rewatch was still I don't know why this one so boring to me
Tbh..
I enjoyed the first watch on release (probably blinded by another huge Marvel entry), but after re-watching it, I did not like it that much at all.
Outside all of the positives (fighting choreography and some good shots/visuals accompanied by a relaxing soundtrack), it just feels... generic, maybe? As far as introducing a character goes, there's just a very basic structure to expect in a superhero film and maybe that's why it feels like a pain to get through while being hit with deja-vu throughout its runtime. A lot of vague things too but that's whatever.
yeah i really liked this movie a lot a lot
but man legit felt like a spy kids scene anytime they had cgi in this movie
is the cgi supposed to be this bad at the beginning because wow it’s terrible
im watching this s*** rn and came here cus of it
i paused 7 minutes in cus i could not stand it already. and then the bus scene doubled down. this can only get worse im assuming
you can literally see the computer graphics bro this is like a bad 2000's CGI fest

The green screen when Shang gets to the mystical village worst in the MCU
Mfs were hyping this up, but this was extremely mid imo. I felt zero emotional connection to these characters "Oh, that person just died... Ok, I guess". Also, cgi was legit a clusterfuck at times.
The cast deserved a better script.
It’s funny how Black Panther and Shang Chi have the worst CGI in all the MCU
really makes you think

Lmao what was the budget for this again?

Black panther last fight scene looks like a PS2 game
It’s funny how Black Panther and Shang Chi have the worst CGI in all the MCU
Iron man movies had some crappy cgi
Got around to seeing Shang chi and I predicted that he wouldn’t get or use the rings until the end of the movie. MCU really needs something fresh with their origin story movies for new characters, I just feel like it’s starting to be formulaic now.

STARTING?

racism
Meh. Aside from the dope action for mcu standards, it relies way too much on exposition dumping by various characters and flashbacks to progress the story.

I think Panther looked amazing untill that final fight with Killmonger clearly added at the last minute and not given enough time to finess
The reason this doesn’t work for me is because Shang-Chi the character is so dull. I don’t care about him at all. The performance is flat and there’s no character arc. What is his journey exactly? It “feels” like he’s supposed to have one, but it just never materialized. Wenwu was 1,000x more interesting.

He finally told his dad off epic
Also reconnected with his mom's roots I guess but yeah none of it really hit and his characterization was pretty boring
