spiderman 3 was ten times better shot than this disney bullshit

I think a big part of it is the quick turn around on these movies too. They don’t really have enough time to do more intricate lighting setups and the like.

The Batman straight embarrassed the MCU on a technical level, but they also had A LOT more time with it.

This is still my favorite of the Holland trilogy but I like it a lot less the more I think about it. The whole thing kinda collapses upon any deeper thought.

I rewatched for the first time since seeing it in theatres and this is how I feel. I couldn't shake the fact that Tobey and Goblin never interact or even acknowledge each other.

Still a great movie for sheer entertainment value but there's a lot to pick apart.

that's the difference between Matt Reeves and Jon Watts bro, for the first one this s*** is art and a passion project, for the second one this is a business and career opportunity

edit: you could say the same thing about Raimi too on the sm trilogy

The fact that their fight scene was cut

This is still great. Rewatched it last night and it holds up big time imo

Yeah BATMAN is a passion project no money involved, you sound dumb as hell for this ☠️, spiderman in live action deals with way more whimsical characters & villains that require cgi or some extremely good practical effects

Didn’t know they had a fight scene. Is it online somewhere?

  • Mar 21, 2022

Rewatching this later if I have time, everything, was moving so fast, on one watch ironically the fight with all of them is the most meh but it was still ok, most everything else is kinda crazy

Multiple behind the scenes pics came out

Also they cut the Goblin fighting on the bridge but that was only done in pre vis

Can’t believe they cut this and kept the forced comedy between the villains in the first half

I wonder, if they end up doing Norman/The Goblin again, but a MCU version, would they go the Ultimate route?

    You can tell

seriously. watching this movie it felt something was off. everything felt more contained and smaller in scope in each scene. even the action scenes felt small in a way.

this would have been “nostalgia”, they should have interacted after he got cured though, unless they really didn’t wanna mess with the raimi continuity

  • Mar 21, 2022

after watching again, im sorry but lizard is a f***ing stooge, he doesn’t have real motivation either way but he’s chasing after people like a maniac ☠️

  • Mar 21, 2022

Also Toby maguire is pretty funny in this

Norman should be an outright shady businessman, and then iron patriot or some variation of that

Goblin really killed Mona Lisa Vito

Did they shoot entire movie on green screen lmao

And what was with Peter risking it all just cuz some ppl who for all he knew were mass murderers would end up dying to spidermen. And lmfao at him wizard of oz like providing gifts to these villains that was supposed to solve all their problems

S*** was mad unbelievable and contrived, and that banter between the villains was like watching friends without a laugh track

You could def feel that runtime too, all these cornball banter exchanges that could ve been cut to shorten it

The special effects were gr8 tho especially the strange stuff. As predicted garfield>>>>

Molina and Defoe were dope, Foxx lizard and sandman were

only thing right here is your commentary on the villains

  • Mar 21, 2022

The villains in apt is GREAT even if the plan is very stupid it’s stupid in a comic-book way, & plays on Peter Parker’s empathy, Molina was lovely in this & his banter

  • Mar 21, 2022

My main gripe with this movie is still how fast it’s moving, the fugitive stuff could have been it’s own movie

  • Mar 21, 2022

The apartment stuff goated, him senseing Norman switching into that b******
