JK Simmons back as J Jonah Jameson, Alfred Molina back as doc Ock and saying his role in the movie picks up directly after SM2, Jamie Fox back as Electro (and posting a picture of three SpiderMen as the announcement then deleting that picture), Sam Raimi returning to direct a MCU movie, Sony not allowing Tobey to do voices in SM:ITTMV with an excuse that sounded like they had plans for that down the road, Morbius trailer referencing MCU with Vulture cameo but also Raimi’s with a picture of Tobey’s Spider-Man, ad Sony basically confirming via a video they posted and deleted on YouTube.

It’s no question if this movie sets up the multiverse, it does. But is it a setup for another move where Tobey and Andrew return (hopefully), or just a confined story in this movie that brings in elements from older movies?

Personally I think the goal for Sony is get a movie with all of these guys together, and use this as a launchpad for their Spiderverse where different SpiderMen face off against their villains who have had their own set up movie. Either that or the sequel to NWH would be a Sinister 6 movie where the 6 fight the 3 SpiderMen
