He stopped both villains by just being himself

No crazy suits or gadgets and it’s made apparent him trying to be iron man gets him in worse scenarios

He’s learning to be HIMSELF cause he’s still a kid growing up and becoming a man

Aren’t the villains motivations based on iron man too, idk just the idea of iron man being such a big part of it bugs me

the villain for the first one has a backstory that goes back to the first avengers so it seems that way

but then you find out theyre connected to peter in a really tense and cool way that you shouldn't spoil if you don't know bc its a dope reveal

in number 2 they are tho, but again its in a cool way that i dont wanna spoil.

spidey himself has his own hero arcs. the arc of the first movie is all about how he doesn't need any of the iron man tech stuff or any big boost from him

I will probably end up giving them a try because I’ll want to see the new one. But like, the message he doesn’t need iron man would be more clear if he just wasn’t that much of a factor lol why is his hero arc “I don’t need iron man”, that implies that we were supposed to think he did or something

We finally got a Spider-Man that is connected to other good Marvel content and now people want him to be less connected lmao

I personally wish they didn't do that Mysterio connection, but I think they made it work really well.
