It isn’t aging badly it’s just unfair to compare 20 year old special effects to modern ones and that is what they are doing . Also the acting is a different tone because it was a different era . Essentially not everything needs to be compared and writing in raimi trilogy is much better

Raimi’s Spidey was purposely made to be a campy so of course the acting is going to be different but for there’s still a better balance between the comedic moments and the dramatic moments. People might like Tom Holland’s Peter Parker better overall and I get why but I never cared about him in any scene the way I did with Tobey’s Peter.

When Apple or Amazon buys Sony’s movie division after this drops

Leaving Disney to be sole distributor and creative owner of the Spider-Man IP

Then Disney does away with the Venomverse and continues the Spider-Verse after buying the animation technology

This is the LAST thing I want Disney to own, they can stop buying and taking over things after that

S*** they should let go of a ton of the more adult Fox IP like Alien, Predator, Die Hard, etc. just keep the Marvel stuff, Avatar, Apes and more of the family stuff

Y’all Disney fans really cheering for Amazon and Disney to buy up all artistic properties to jerk off your nostalgia it’s sad. I would rather have a trash venom verse and not have everything have to be same tone with no competition. They essentially have a monopoly on superhero stories and tell the same exact s*** each time with dc trying to emulate

    It’s boring ....

this is a big stretch. he just wasn't the charismatic Peter Parker from the comics. He was more of a classic nerd.

Okay maybe if you put it that way , as a classic nerd. But can you honestly look at Tom Holland's performance and say "yeah this guy just isn't Peter Parker" or "He's too boring"? Coz compared to Toby. ,he has much more life in him. Hell, compare Toby to Andrew Garfield

How do you just compare 20 years of learning what an audience likes to change writing ? He isn’t a bad Spider-Man or peter Parker but some fans think it’s perfect when it’s clearly not with so many iron boy elements.

Far from home was ass. They need to incorporate venom and stop revolving everything around iron man. Would love a film where spidey and venom team up against carnage or monster ock but it’ll never happen

Image comics and the other companies don’t have the money to make movies and their properties are viewed as risky in comparison to superhero films which keep churning out and regardless of writing quality make dividends. Y the last man been in development Hell, Manga movies just bad idea . Why must Disney own everything for y’all to be happy ? So that you can shout same universe at the screen ? So you get one special effects bonanza where wolverine interacts with spider man for a minute?

You can’t say it’s for storytelling when many view spider man as just an iron man extension thus far rather than his own character with his own story . In years y’all will kind of realize these movies aren’t that great but enjoy

Nope, it wasn’t. FFH put the character in a great direction, which could result in something we haven’t seen done before on screen with Spider-Man. Aside from the ending, the movie itself was good too

I wouldn’t say dull again my complaints lie with him orbiting tony too closely or love interest rather than his why

Hence why I'm hoping Bloodshot does well. There are properties that could work given the right creative team. Dredd is one of the most underrated CBMs of the last decade and that came out before Avengers so imagine if something as good as that came out around now. There is a chance that it could have done better. It is Marvel's fault that they have built this want for a complete shared universe. I wanted Venom to be good but it didn't come out that way. If Morbius is good I may change my stance but the last few solely Sony produced films have not turned out to my liking aside from Spider-Verse. Personally, I trust Marvel and their process because it's what I like to see in superhero movies. I get not EVERYONE likes the MCU and I'm fine with that. I would have loved if Hellboy did well and spawned its own successful franchise but again, the movie was not good. I want Bloodshot to work, I want to see what Sony has planned with the whole Valiant comics thing.

I am also pointing out an inevitability. There is a good chance that Sony is going to sell its film and television division. They're making more money off gaming and appliances than they are on their films. S***, I was hoping Jumanji would do better but it looks like it's not going to get close to the gross of the first one. I even said that Disney should let go of a chunk of the Fox properties, hell sell them to Sony for all I care. Personally I want Marvel to be Marvel. You may not want that and that's fine. Some cool s*** could be done if it was all in one house. I'm not looking at MCU movies as the cream of the crop. They're escapism. I didn't have an MCU film in my top 10 for 2019 as much as I loved Endgame.
