Avatar always held a kind of weird place where it doesn’t feel like it had much of a cultural impact even though it was the biggest movie ever. I kind of expect Avatar 2 to have a similar run to the first one - an opening weekend that’s considered a disappointment considering the movie, followed by strong legs that carry it to massive overall numbers
