No Way Home is a soft reboot.

This seems more and more to be true as leaks are coming out tbh

"But in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, the actor tells Empire that he filmed “one of the coolest scenes I’ve ever shot” – a sequence including a character he wasn’t at liberty to divulge."

"What he could say is that the scene features his Peter Parker, Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May, and Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan – along with a mystery fourth character. “It’s four people sitting at a table, having a conversation about what it’s like to be a superhero, and it was amazing,” Holland tells Empire. “The other day we watched the scene, my brother and I, and our jaws were on the floor.”

Each MCU Spider-Man title has had a double meaning; one literal and one figurative:

    Homecoming

    • homecoming dance
    • the flagship Marvel character is finally “home” where he can interact with other Marvel characters

    Far From Home

    • Peter is abroad in a foreign country
    • Mysterio “came from” the multiverse

    No Way Home

    • the multiverse villains have no way back to their original timelines
    • ?????

Perhaps the figurative meaning of “No Way Home” is a pretty dark and sad one now that I think about it

I literally don’t get Tom being trapped in the Sonyverse at the end of NWH theory because of 2 things

    1. He still has one more MCU crossover on his contract
    2. VENOM 2 SPOILERS: Why make the effort to bring Venom to the MCU to just put him back in the end credit scene of NWH???? Makes zero sense. That scene says to me that Marvel and Sony worked out a new deal

This not just you fam lmao

Like a lot of mfs think this is it for Spidey in the MCU.

Personally I think going forward the Sony movies will technically be set in the MCU but treated like the Netflix shows were (except for Spider-Man himself.)

i mean honestly everyone and their mother knows they're coming back already it's not really something they need to show per se
