I think Spider-Man 3 (MCU) will be their best opportunity to do have an Iron man-less movie. I can understand why they leaned in so heavy on Iron Man in his first arc in the MCU because of how he was introduced. Honestly if Civil War had to be the introduction point for Spider-Man then they handled it the best way possible. Way less believable for a kid to just join the fight without having any pressure or any convincing done by a hero. With Cap on the run there was no way his ass was looking for a kid to join the fight.

Homecoming being how it was worked because it grounded Spider-Man in the MCU. It made it a point that he existed in that world. Homecoming ending with the final fight being in the homemade suit shows that he can be a hero without Stark.

Far From Home kind of tacks on that Peter has access to Stark tech but with his identity being revealed at the end and Spider-Man going on the run, there is nobody that he can turn to so he HAS to figure this out on his own.

Spider-Man 3 will more than likely have an MCU character as that is what Sony wants, but I don't think it'll be someone on Fury or Tony's level of overall importance. Spider-Man 3 will hopefully be the most independent Spider-Man film we get at this point from the MCU.

The thing about the MCU Spider-Man is that everything that happened in his origin happened. Uncle Ben IS dead. Uncle Ben did inspire him to begin fighting crime. At the time Spider-Man is discovered, he's a local crime fighter. In the world created by the MCU, it gives him the opportunity to become a worldwide hero. While the argument can be that Spider-Man is a New York hero, he still is; but that has been done for 6 movies now. The MCU provides the avenue for a fresh take on Spider-Man and going worldwide was a great choice for Far From Home. He has had solo adventures in the comics where he is abroad, like when Gwen went to school in London. There is precedent for it.

Yea I know I'm kind of alone on the Garfield bandwagon lol. AS2 is pretty trash tho. Through no fault of him tho.

Is there anything the third movie can do to salvage the trilogy for you ? Or are you just done with it and is ready for the next trilogy

I personally view this trilogy as an origin story in it self seeing how they’ll probably make another trilogy

I like the movies actually. I think the cliffhanger where everyone knows who he is will be a nice change of pace. Also, I think they're slowly making his character more independent so I'll give them that.

I don't really disagree with any of your points. I think taking Spiderman out of NY at least for one movie is a nice change of pace. Hopefully, they've moved past relying on Tony to set up Spiderman's character.

I want something less Iron Man related, but at the same time I love the Iron Spider suit.

Spiderman 1 and 2 are absolutly 2 of the most overrated movies of all time. Homecoming washes both of these movies added together.

He also has to film Uncharted first.

This is unpolished and off the top of my head so:

Basically after he's outed, he goes on the run. No Tony, no Happy (because he would get into trouble himself if he helped), no Avengers (because he didn't really have a connection with anyone aside from Tony), Fury is in space, just Peter.

I think this story should be contained to New York this time. It is a huge city and it could work. You could have Peter involve himself into the criminal underworld to hide or something like that. Doing what he needs to survive in order to clear his name. There he could meet the Chameleon who offers to help. This is all a ploy because Kraven (who is Chameleon's brother) is hunting Peter.

In my dream version he could come into contact with Matt Murdock and we get a Spidey/Daredevil team up but that likely won't happen.

Anyway, Chameleon disguises himself as Peter but only makes things worse, prompting JJJ to hire Kraven and Scorpion to take down Peter (possible spoilers for Morbius: Since Scorpion apparently breaks out of prison in Morbius along with Vulture. I could see Vulture just going back to his family for this one but coming back in a future Sinister Six movie ). Scorpion is taken down after one battle but Kraven is the main villain behind the film.

I also think they could introduce Oscorp by saying that they funded Mysterio and his crew because a lot of those ex-Stark employees are now Oscorp (idk just spitballing here).

Apparently Blade might not release in October 2022 because of Spider-Verse 2.

Disney and Sony have seemingly swapped dates. Spider-Verse 2’s original date is now replaced with a live-action Disney film and the SM3 date has also been replaced with another Disney film.

    Might delay Blade to November?
