He got the arc reactor removed from his body at the end of Iron Man 3

Even then , we still got origin movie stories from relatively unknown characters like Shang-Chi doing well and eternals with mid reviews doing decent . This whole year has been a W during a time where we exploring not so popular characters and adding a spider man movie at the end is just a cherry on top . Them rivaling endgame is a feat even with the nostalgia and shows how into this universe people still are .
