Multiverses are dumb. There I said it
So I assume you’re not a fan of the Academy Award winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse?
We getting symbiote suit spidey

I enjoyed it. I thought people oversold it by calling it one of, or the, best spider man movies.
I trust that Feige will change my mind because everything he does is on point but my thoughts are that there’s too much multiverse stuff coming. We got Spideyverse which was cool but now it’s Loki, Spider 3, Dr Strange 2, etc. even DC is doing it. Seems excessive.
I’m not saying it can’t be cool as a plotline ibut I don’t want a series of movies about it. I haven’t read the comics but The existence of infinite universes diminishes the value of each universe. Like instead of saving the world we’re saving infinite worlds?
but as I said, I bet Feige will prove me wrong
not that i buy into it yet but the theories i was hearing were that since Wanda takes place 3 weeks after the blip and Spidey 2 takes place 7 months after, the third might take place before the 2nd, since thats a large chunk of time. almost Indiana Jones style withe temple of doom being before Raiders. thought it was an interesting theory, even though im not sold on it. would be interesting to see how you pull that off and give your prior movie a whole new angle to look at it at
Only reason I don’t like it is because SM2 left us with a cliffhanger. So if SM3 is before those events then we prolly gotta wait another movie to see what happens with the cliffhanger.
Idk how fans would feel.

For one, Marvel and DC have two different approaches to how it works which should provide some variety.
And Feige has had this planned out for a while now. Especially WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness. So I trust him with it. I can see the criticism but I mean after 25 movies what else could Marvel do to excite audiences. With (WandaVision spoilers) Wanda opening up the multiverse and becoming a Nexus being it makes sense to tie it to different films with how interconnected the MCU is. DC’s doing it early imo but with the nature of the Flash as a character and the speed force it makes a little bit of sense.
With The Flash at least, it allows for opportunities to meet completely different characters who would occupy the mantle of the Flash and see how they handle it. Like Jay Garrick being the Flash of Earth-2 instead of Barry Allen, or Bruce Wayne’s father being Batman instead of him on another Earth etc. I think it provides interesting storytelling elements that they could use. I don’t think that’s what they’re doing with the movie but it’s been done effectively on TV.

I was expecting to love it but it never lived up to the hype for me. That's when I really knew I don't like the multiverse s***

Would not make any sense at all if there was a spiderverse but then the multiverse has no effect on the rest of the MCU
Could be nothing but something
