they chose a date within The Odyssey's 3 week IMAX exclusivity deal. The originally put it the week after and moved it 2 weeks after when they realized how bad of an idea that was. It still won't have IMAX screens though. It could get delayed again though as I wouldn't want to release 2 weeks after a Nolan movie with zero IMAX availability.

I say Nolan moves up 2 weeks and steps on Minions that movie doesn’t need IMAX
And it’s the same studio so Uni can just move Minions elsewhere

I doubt Nolan changes his date. Nolan's superstitious about the July 20 spot and has had his release date set in stone, IMAX agreements, and all since 2024.
