I feel the trilogy was more Spider Man as an avenger than Spider Man as Spider Man. Which I understand the reason for doing so but thankful as f*** for the no way home reset of secret identity everyone forgets him. Although I think Aunt May death was hugely unnecessary

that’s what it is honestly, I get why a good amount of people amount of people aren’t into it though

I mean the games are spidey focused and I only like their stories so much too. The robotic like enemies over animal experiments gets me too. Like Doc Ock always robotic. But all enemies just being technology where anyone could be wearing their suits rather than more of a curse gets me

no i agree, still need scorpion though even though he’s probably gonna be in a tech suit! I also agree with you about may, but it’s still an interesting choice to leave him without any (known) kin

I still think Homecoming is great. might be one of my favorite mcu theater experiences the whole crowd was loving it, Vulture twist was amazing.

everything since then been mid to me

No known kin is cool. Just feels like setting him up to be darker venom like despite Garfield spidermans warnings of becoming dark. Who knows though they have many ways they can take it. But i will whole heartedly judge them for where they go next

so even homecoming was carried by audience reactions and a twist that occured in Spider Man 1 2001

Yeah I’m a big denouncer of FFH and bringing back old characters never FID much to get me hyped. I’m more hyped when new characters get introduced like Spider-Man & Black Panther in Civil War, Vision in Avengers 2

I did like what NWH set up tho

how was that a twist in the first spidey lol, we knew norman was goblin from the beginning

the whole sequence of peter getting ready being so happy go lucky, then opening the door and seeing that boy TOOMBS there and both peter and the audience are like then you put it together was honestly masterful lol

The car ride remains one of my favorite MCU (maybe CBM) moments, that was too good

the Liz commenting "wow its sure weird how you dissapear a lot" being how vulture connects it vs thanksgiving dinner feeling natural

Having rewatched the Raimi Spider-Mans I noticed he loves his redeemable villains.

Doc Ock, Harry Goblin, Sand Man, even Green Goblin aren’t all evil they’ve either had their mind altered or turn good in the end

What makes the dinner scene more natural than the car ride? Both of the scenes were a consequence of Peter not being able to outsmart the villain, and I’d say the big slash wound being the thing that opens Norman’s eyes is less natural than an offhand remark about his dissapearances.

Vulture had element of surprise and is like "go on a date with my daughter and don't foil my plans give her a good time just don't f*** her"

peter ran out of the dance immediately
