Well yeah she was thrifting in high school
I don’t understand why no one is talking about no IMAX for neither Spider-Man nor Doomsday
Like…that’s not insane to people?
IMAX is for greatness.
a shift to what exactly?
A shift from the usual mcu spiderman tone and story structures.
Every movie made today is shot like a Netflix film and it really removes the special nature of cinema
Every Disney movie yeah

on a operational level it's pretty daming to see Disney get outflanked like this
they have traditional movie chains by the balls but IMAX moving different
silly they haven't pivoted any of these dates yet
Amnesia plots are so bad man
I completely forgot they did that s*** at the end of the last one
Lmfao this post is ironic
Sony set that knowing damn well Nolan not only had a week earlier, but would also dominate IMAX for several weeks. Then they pushed it a week later to try to use the "every film gets 2 weeks of exclusivity" angle knowing damn well Nolan's IMAX demand extends far beyond 2 weeks. Nolan signs these contracts extremely early. Same thing happened with Oppenheimer with Barbie getting blocked out and Tom Cruise running around Hollywood to get Mission Impossible more than 1 week of exclusivity.
They kept it because regardless, Sony likes July for Spider-Man (only reason NWH didn't release then was COVID delays). Doubt they care cus they're keeping it and the film will do well. Also doubt cast cares because three of them are in Odyssey as well.
All true and Nolan selling out shows a full year in advance
This is a lead up to Man-Spider
Sony doesn’t have the balls, it would have to be part horror if they did it right
Have absolutely no idea what the plot of this movie is supposed to be based on this trailer. Feels like a trailer for a TV show pulling in scenes from a bunch of different episodes
IMAX is for greatness.
In times like this damn near every movie should be IMAX, and there should be way more IMAX screens in general. If we're in danger of losing the cinema experience we should be maxing out its immersion in every way possible. Well, except for maybe 4DX.
I thought I read that The Odyssey has a 4 week IMAX exclusive
I wonder why Nolan has so much pull. Isn’t he like the only director with full creative control as well?
IMAX is for greatness.
They just put the f***ing Chris Pratt AI movie in IMAX 2 months ago
IMAX does not have a bar for quality lmao
Just realized that we didn’t even see Tombstone
Are we thinking that he’s the main baddie, pulling the strings with Scorpion, etc + Savage Hulk?
It’s a lot of villains in this I thought they were pulling a F4 and showing a compilation of him fighting some of his lower tier villains

whole things screaming mess to me but shout out man spider

This is all true, but I was just saying that they didn't move the BND date to July thinking they could just walk on Nolan like they did with Doomsday and Dune. Both BND and Odyssey were set for July 2026 at the exact same time
Peter
MJ
Ned
The Punisher
Bruce Banner
Tombstone
Scorpion
The Hand
Tramell Tillman’s character
Jean Grey’s character
That is a LOT of central characters for a Spider-Man movie, I’m interested to see how they weave everything together
Tarantula is in it too at 2:10 in the trailer

IMAX is amazing but it should also be reserved for films shooting with IMAX cameras and actually maximizing the technology. Oddyssey is the first IMAX film shot on the new cameras and able to be presented in full ratio the entire time. Dune 3 is shot on IMAX film. Of course these are priorities.
Neither of these MCU films are shot on IMAX or even in IMAX ratio. They were just going to use the auditoriums for an excuse to upcharge tickets. They're not blocked from Dolby, 4DX, etc..
IMAX is a specific format type, and i think we should avoid using it as a crutch for any film to show just because its a big screen. Sound immersion wise Dolby has it beat

You misunderstand me, I'm saying more movies should be shot in IMAX in general. Yes it's more expensive but it would make for a better experience overall. I don't get the purist/snob perspective of only reversing IMAX privileges for certain "higher caliber" films
