If that’s Keith David then he’s Ezekiel. If its Tombstone, he’s monologuing about actual spiders but ofc with subtext that applies to Peter’s mutation
A lot of this feels like an adaptation of “The Other” which id rather have than man spider. I don’t care for that story line tbh

I just can’t see the other happening imo
This trailer has 70s spiderman written all over it

Also Kevin feige made a deal with Mephisto to elevate his favorite hero Ironman at the cost of all other marvel characters so I don’t think we’re gonna see a good spiderman movie until 2033 when Kevin’s soul is up for grabs and the king of hell gets to claim his dark reward

I mean if they did do it would be super half assed anyway atp since none of the ground work was set up but still that shot of him in the organic web cocoon felt like just as much a call back to that story as it did the man spider stuff. That Ezekiel, mystical spider s*** was some of my favorite spiderman stuff as a kid
God imagine a trilogy with a grown spiderman meeting ezikiel in the first, him becoming his new “father” figure / mentor but in a way more organic way than the last few since they share powers, Ezekiel betraying him as a sacrifice to save his own ass then having a change of heart, them fighting morlin and him sacrificing himself just for morlin to come back in the second movie - wins killing spiderman at the end of the second movie then we get the cocoon as a post credits leading into the third

Ezekiel can go kick rocks after Madame Web. He's never coming back sadly
Trailer kinda sorta did its job in getting me in a Spider-Man mood so I’m gonna play/watch some things that I haven’t before.
Starting with playing Miles Morales and watching Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

FNSM was pretty good
I think the worst Spider-Man product I ever seen was that cartoon on Netflix with Drake Bell voicing him and I thugged out 3 seasons lol

Same
I miss that old spectacular cartoon

I’m glad you pointed out the 70s thing cause it clicked that Marvel is gearing up to go full silver age for the future ie First Steps. Part of why I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re doing the og five for the x-men
It would be crazy if an antagonist in an upcoming marvel film was a one-off anti-mutant villain from a secret origin miniseries of the og five X-Men, with the penultimate conflict of the series being an effort to rescue a young Jean Grey from being kidnapped under the orders of said villain…leading into the debut of the young X-Men
... This trailer was s***. It had a couple corny jokes and didnt give any hints towards the main villain
It’s ninjas bruh
When Timmy pop out at MJ bday party as Harry
That’s great casting with his wavy hair man

I really hope that's not the case

But… Coleman Domingo
He can’t have a white baby

Man spider storyline of the ones that they can do is an odd choice to me

We haven’t truly seen hobgoblin especially with a genuinely good mask . I’m kind of shocked this isn’t the green goblin movie
The true reason she is obsessed with spider man but his baby died in a miscarriage because it had powers
