The issue here isn’t just the tech though . The tech isn’t Cortana . It’s not a sentient being with any character or development. How we’ve seen ai used so far in this movie series is purely comic relief . Not a google search not helping him do research . Directly telling him how to use his powers or change settings . When a central part of the character is figuring out himself . Diaries or audio logs or meeting again humans other than Ned and mj could serve the ideal gap . Spider man uses tech but his villains centered on a misuse of science and technology

How it’s used matters

I think saying “ it’s his only friend “ when people want friendly NEIGHBORHOOD spider man who gets to know SOCIETY and works a JOB

Spider man talking to himself and having friends outside of high school has been central to the character long before raimi yall got to be for real
