what even was the point of that? the mcu has no balls to stick through decisions they make. the choices they make have no weight. it's whatever makes the most money at the end of the day, hence the no artistic integrity

The point was to put Peter through the struggle and grief that he’s been dealing with for years after NWH and letting that mold his character. Having her around him again doesn’t erase that, if anything it gives him and the audience more time to sit in the aftermath of his decisions. Them not sticking with it would be if he read her the letter at the diner scene or if they’re selling us a film where he easily gets his life back and BND doesn’t feel like that at all
I’d also argue having MJ and Ned just dip without exploring how the spell changed their lives is crazy because they forgot Peter not Spider-Man. Its unrealstic that MJ would just move on from that. Thats clearly groundwork for an interesting flip on their story and a new kind of grief for this Peter or any live action version of the character has had to deal with.

idk man i just think tom and zendaya is too lucrative for the mcu not to cash in out in
i feel like the new movie is gonna end with mj remembering who peter is in some "love transcends time" type s*** and then they'll be back together

NoFacehis own characters still appear in the films though, that isnt really gonna make or break the storytelling. let Sony handle all SMU lore. we will never get a MCU Spidey film without the MCU interactions, its legit the whole point of a shared universe
asking for a film without it seems like screaming into the void lol
To me punisher shooting people with bullets is going to look a bit wild if not executed well
May 30·1 replyNoFaceit sounds good but we honestly can have Sony just do that with his own universe, it wouldnt make sense in the MCU lol having him not interact with other characters would defeat the purpose of him being in that universe entirely

Some of the moves they made are what I feared . The event movies cool but I think it bogs down the solo movies at times. Willing to go into this one open minded with time they got and hope for the best

I definitely see how sometimes the cameos can be a bit jarring but think they have been done within reason for the most part so far
If anything they kinda dragged the whole Iron Man & Spidey relationship but tbh I appreciate the MCU giving us something we never seen before with the character. I mean in EG we got Spidey riding a Pegasus with the Infinity Gauntlet in hand, some real nerd stuff

I know what you’re saying too and don’t disagree but he has also just been a kid for these movies. Kinda hard to expect his character to have all this deep lore stuff and adult issues and stuff.
