Not really lol people realize how perfect TDK is and it can’t be replicated. People love The Batman for what it is and don’t really compare as much as they do with the OG spider man vs the new one.

Raimi’s spiderman, although i think Tom is the best Spiderman, gave us the best emotional and vulnerable connection to Spiderman’s struggle, and he actually felt like an underdog

Also Molina’s Ock and Defoe’s Goblin were such great villains that helped carry the first two films

that being said, This is the best mcu spider film, and the first that really made me feel the way Raimi’s Spiderman did. Very excited to see where it goes now

And for good reason, it’s the first feature film completely shot for that format and selling out shows in September already. Why would they show Spidy? Has it even expanded aspect ratio scenes?

Idk about like costume sales, but Spiderman has to run laps around Supes in just about every entertainment medium. Games, live action movies, animated movies, maybe not TV, critical success (depending on if you count the Sony Universe slop)

Dc has a hard time making Superman "cool" for modern audiences. Especially overseas, superman has like no motion. They just see him as "America Man"

Spiderman is just that guy

I feel like Spiderman cartoons way more impactful. Old series has hella memes that took off, Spectacular Spiderman is beloved, one of them Disney XD shows also has some popularity (Ultimate Spiderman I think?) and he still going today with Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman, which was excellent
