Id argue no way home should've been one of the best mixes of spider man stories, I think it just tipped the scale into bullshit with the Dr strange stuff and a general loss of focus. But the throughline of "showing the heroes journey in all of its stages" was actually done pretty well, and in the tone of something that would actually be from a comic

I just don't think the way the MCU is set up makes any space for the slower personal s***, and it is worse off for it

I think the approach is stronger when he's brought into other stuff, like infinity war. I think "spider man in space/fighting Thanos/dying onscreen" earned enough cool points imo to offset a lot of the bullshit
