Yet they’ve begun the arc with Jean giving the DOD, the police and the civilian population genuine reason to want them under control, surveilled or even inhibited and it kinda sets it off wrong from the jump
or just weighs the anti mutant side with too much ammo from the very start

Would be cool for them to go with The Mutants and then change it to The X-Men later on similar to Thunderbolts --> The New Avengers.
Likely they'll just go with The X-Men though.

But yea making one of more prominent mutants first appearance an antagonist in another movie is a bit strange.
Really hope they dont shy away from the politics behind mutants.
Really felt they did a disservice to the Supehero registration act with the Sokovia accords pretty much not having much impact. They better not do the same with the mutant registration act

Felt very similar to Scarlett Witch. Maybe trying to recreate the popularity of that character with Jean which wouldn’t be a bad idea
