Keep Hugh for like another 15 years as a standalone character. Have him acknowledge that he’s from a displaced timeline / have him break the 4th wall with Deadpool knowing about the light “reset”
Simultaneously, start developing a younger Wolverine who will fit into X-Men stories down the line. I know Marvel TV is seemingly going away, but I like Coi J’s idea about a TV show through the decades.

surely u dont expect marvel of all writers rooms to be competent or (financially) intrested enough to depict that with any kind of tasteful complexity?
and even if they did do it right, the whole point would be to generate said discourse that ure calling corny.
those power dynamics get the criticism they do cus hollywood overwhelmingly enables those relationships on & offscreen rather than interrogating them (re: subtext)

Scott as a character is often depicted as having his sense of duty to mutants swayed by both sides of the mutant argument.
There’s so many things you could do and well/ interestingly with the X-men in general but i agree the X-men in general are above marvels studio’s writing ability but still I can hope for good writing and good stories.
