Even if the could recast doesn’t mean they should.

I think they should just retire the character because I just don’t want to see it without him. But even ignoring that, I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to take in this role immediately after him. They’ll constantly face an uphill battle of trying to live up to Boseman’s Black Panther, and the audience will always compare(and likely won’t be satisfied even if the replacement played him well). On top of that, the replacement actor won’t be acting their own version of T’Challa. They’ll have to imitate the T’Challa that’s Chadwick already created.

Obviously the character isn’t going to be retired for the history of all comic films. I’m sure at some point in a decade or 2 Disney will reboot the MCU. When that happens I think it would be time to bring back T’Challa and have a new actor take on their on interpretation of the character

I would say it’s best to just let another character take in the role of the character going forward, with the obvious choice being Shiri. As someone else already said, they should get a new make lead. And there are tons of black Marvel characters they could use. And Marvel already isn’t shy about having characters collab in films now(Thor and Hulk in Ragnarok).

The only thing I know is that Black Panther 2 is not going to come out in May 2022

This is a horrible conversation to have but im seeing so many people saying Shuri should be black panther. If that happens, t'challa the character will end up like Hank pym. It isn't like the comic side is big enough to keep him relevant.

If anything Michael B Jordan's character could somehow come back and replace him. Other than it might be another decade or two before we see Black Panther coming back

I hope they just scrap the current Black Panther and reboot it so it doesn’t have anything to do with the wider Marvel universe. No corny jokes nothing.
