Why is it so hard to find a competent writer that can write an action-horror superhero film
Honestly the age thing don’t matter to me, just need the movie to come out & be top 5 MCU
At this point I think it should be a younger guy simply cause it’s been so long since the announcement that the initial hype over Ali playing Blade can never be recaptured, and now it just feels like “why have an older guy play a new version of the character when you could just have Wesley return?”
Give it to Damson Idris
NEED
Wouldn’t you rather them put out a good enjoyable movie and take a little longer than have them pump out some unwatchable bullshit?

Facts. I want to get multiple films with Blade, not just a standalone film. At this rate, I don't see Ali playing the character for more than just this film if it releases

Hell I'd rather they give the writing back to goyer. He wasn't perfect but at least he has experience writing blade
lol

that would be so f***ing good
f*** all of you
Idris pls
can they get their s*** together before Mia Goth has to drop out. I know she gotta be booked up
Kinda cool news tbh. Marvel can start making lean actually good movies on smaller budgets and don’t have to bank on every movie being a billion dollar picture
still standing f*** the doubters

4th lead on his own movie
"As public criticism mounts, Feige is pulling the plug on scripts and projects that aren’t working. Case in point: the “Blade” reboot. With Mahershala Ali signed on for the eponymous role of a vampire, things looked promising for a 2023 release date. But the project has gone through at least five writers, two directors and one shutdown six weeks before production. One person familiar with the script permutations says the story at one point morphed into a narrative led by women and filled with life lessons. Blade was relegated to the fourth lead, a bizarre idea considering that the studio had two-time Oscar winner Ali on board.
Amid reports that Ali was ready to exit over script issues, Feige went back to the drawing board and hired Michael Green, the Oscar-nominated writer of “Logan,” to start anew. Speculation around town is that the studio is looking to make the film, now slated for 2025, on a budget of less than $100 million — a deviation from Marvel’s big-spending strategy. "

That script had to have been that first writer, rumors were it only had 2 action scenes

If this doesn’t work the MCU downfall is confirmed. They brought Ali out like a number 1 draft pick only to relegate him to terrible scripts and incompetent management
