Wait, so
Matt finds out the guy is White Tiger and then immediately tells the judge/prosecution??
Lmao that’s what i thot too…
Oh well Matt 2026 is really different from the OG days…
I'm feeling mixed about it. Bringing back the original cast, just to kill foggy in the first minutes of the premiere feels cheap. The grittiness of the Netflix show is def missing. The Punisher cop story seems interesting tho
idk if i was spoiled during filming but I honestly don’t care that Foggy was killed. Perhaps leading the series with his death was heavy handed but he wasn’t my favorite character in the original. Also it still feels like the same show in spirit based of the first episode
Got around to episode 2. I can definitely tell a lot of it was from the original version of the show. It was still pretty good, but you could tell what was old and what was new in a sense. Not in the way things were shot and edited, but more of just how they felt.
I can tell that some scenes felt more procedural while others felt more in line with the tone and sensibilities of the new pilot. I’m intrigued with the plot line they set up at the end. Hopefully it pays off well.
If they end up brining Foggy back by doing The Secret Life of Foggy Nelson they have to find a really good way to write him faking his death but also getting 10 other people killed at Josies. Because it's gonna look REALLY bad if he fakes his death to go into WitPro and hire Bullseye of all people to do it.

I think it's more likely that he legit died, is brought back through emergency medical protocol/operations, and he just chooses to go into WitPro. It'd also low-key be a way for Foggy to try to force Matt to retire from his persona which is something he wants for Matt in the longterm.

I could see that working, just depends on execution
Do I have to watch Netflix series or can I skip it and not lose any major plots in the Disney one?

Based on these two episodes, you can skip it and not lose most major plot points outside of what's going on fully in the first 15 mins.
But skipping the original (esp. season 1) is like the worst possible thing I'd recommend for anyone.
I only watched season 2 to get my punisher fix
Are seasons 1 thru 3 as filled with mindless action scenes every few scenes where daredevil takes out like 100 nameless grunts over and over?
That s*** kept happening and was so tension free and boring
The punisher vs kingpin brawl was dope tho

Season 1 and 3 > 2 imo. I don’t remember a ton about season 1 but I don’t think there’s as many scenes like that. Season 3 there’s not as much. Season 3 is a must watch.

not to spoil things but in Season 3, Matt can barely walk for like a good chunk of the season, so it's not as grunt heavy.
Season 2's Punisher stuff is next level but all the Hand stuff is just Defenders set up that doesn't reach the peak it should. You can basically ignore it.
Season 1 you absolutely will have DD vs. grunts, but it's more restrained the first season of the show and it's establishing him as a character first and foremost. Season 1 is pretty much the best season of superhero television ever made.

Preciate it, I HATED all things Hand lmao

I do too. I love Stick tho.
Season 3 has basically zero Hand stuff and Season 1 has like 1 episode fully devoted to the Hand. Some Hand people show up a few times in Season 1 but they're all adjacent and minor compared to the Kingpin
should i watch the series? i’ve tried multiple times but it hasn’t been for me but people also tell me that season 3 is near perfect

Yeah. You should def check it out.
I really forgot but did Bullseye figure out that Matt is Daredevil in the netflix series?
