I can say logically Will Smith would be a morpheus or oracle not NEO
because he is too old for how much they want to milk it

Still feel like this might end up being a full on reboot instead of a numbered/direct sequel once they move into production now that wachowskis not involved creatively in order to get a fresh start

You got ppl like Quentin tarentino saying the sequels ruined the original for him, and resurrections flopping will prolly make studio wanna do their own thing with the name brand and idea instead of directly following it up

I’m down for it. Will is a phenomenal actor. More range than Keanu. I think he’d have a different take on the character, in a more relatable way to me at least.

Franchise burned out after Matrix 1

There's an idea there for an older Neo living a mundane life working a job that he hates with a suburban family waking up late to the matrix. Fight Club vibes. I think it would have to be a prequel before Keanu's Neo though since we know there were like 5 Neos before him
