Yes, i haven't seen it yet so i'm going off the consensus of what people complained about and praised on here

but it definitely is NOT excelling in action or cinematography in the same way the og Matrix did

And some believe it was done intentionally to "criticise" fans of the OG movies and the way the industry deals with sequels and "fan servicey" movies and others believe it was just trash filmmaking

take from that what you will, but don't expect another action thriller from this but more of a reflective artpiece

it's funny how the scenes that stuck out to most are so forgettable to me lol

like Neo's court fight against a legion of Smiths

i was never really that 'wowed' by that, it was entertaining

when I was 10yo that s*** was the best thing I have ever seen. I'm glad it wasn't Resurrections back then, it would have been a traumatic experience instead. I feel bad for the zoomers that gonna get introduced to the matrix through it.

It's not indie or anything like that. It tries something different for around 30 mins then becomes a very poor tv show version of a matrix movie for the remaining 2 hours.
