Not saying story boards and 30fps wouldn’t infinitely help this but out of Lana’s solos I got to say this better than sense8 season 3/ finale
But to be fair that was with Lilly
was Lilly the one that was actually more interested in directing and Lana probably more interested in the script and story?
im just making a wild guess, but this is really badly directed this could explain it
Same way daft punk future solo stuff I will look at differently
half of the same directors, same cinematographer, same camera
the difference ? properly storyboarded and filmed at 30fps
30fps
we go Kaioken x4 in dis bih dawg
120fps FOR YA MONITOR

It’s got some quotables and great moments and some moments clearly originally planned for a matrix 4
I mean if you watch sense8 season 3 and finale vs beginning you tell me. In some ways yes
yeah you're probably right, that or lana just got used to telling stories without caring so much for shots because of working in tv for so long and having time constraints
Copied from Reddit
“ You didn't understand it then. The ending isn't just saying they're going to do whatever they want with the matrix within it film, they're telling you, the viewer, and the studio, that they will do whatever they want with The Matrix franchise.
"The A***yst" thinks he knows better. He thinks he knows that people are sheeple and they want things to be the way it is, whatever Neo and Trinity do will fail. Also representative of the movie. The people who do all this a***ysis drive the ideas of what needs to be in the movie to work.
The transition from Neo to Trinity and the female cover on Wake Up is also representing Lana.
Neo always saying that he never believed in himself. It wasn't believing in himself that made him successful. It wasn't other people telling him he was going to be successful. It was love, wasn't it?
He and Trinity together is what made them successful.
The entire idea of death and resurrection is something she has been coping with. Love being the most important thing. The Matrix is ultimately about love.
You'll also notice the entire movie lacks negativity and death, outside of enemies of course. The entire crew is alive, Neo and Trinity reunite and everyone is safe.
The A***yst talking about maximizing profits was also commentary on this. They're saying it's not about maximizing profits, you won't get the perfect designed Matrix by focusing on what will drive profit.
Neo clenching his fingers on his legs, trying to get a grip on what he calls reality... That's you, looking in the mirror (remember the mirrors). This is how you look to Lana. Trying to hold onto your idea of The Matrix. "This can't be", you think. "I have to write this off as non-canon". This movie is forcing you to redpill and understand that it is not constrained to your idea of what it should be. You think you know the Matrix based off these ideas that's everyone's been spouting (the employees saying "action! Bullet time!" Etc). Well she's ripping you out of it and telling you that this is what it is. I'll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. It's deeper than you thought.
Neo being in a prison (of his mind) only to end up in another prison, is also representative of Lana and her creation.
Furthermore, Neo doesn't want to put up a fight. He resists as much as he can. He's forced into the Dojo, reminded of his past. This is Lana.
The lack of choice. Many instances in the movie of two choices... "Not much of a choice"
Bugs the character is the representation of Bugs Bunny, Warner Bros., reviving a dead franchise (dead Neo). She even stops Neo from killing himself. This is also the significance of her being blue. Despite her freeing Neo, what you would think is "red pilling", she is stuck on the idea of bringing back the past. So adamantly that she would risk the safety of her city.
This is where Niobe comes in. She represents the idea of basically saying "okay... You convinced me to let you do this, but you need to understand what this might cause". And EVERYONE is immediately on board with the plan just like everyone was with making another Matrix even before she said what she was planning. Familiar.
She's still supposed to be a lovable character though. There's a lot of messages about working together, compromising. Unexpected bonds. The machines and the humans are working together in the city, what!? Perhaps it's really saying that despite the conflicts, she still wanted to make it as a compromise.
Bugs also "eats s***" as she breaks through a neon sign saying for those who eat s***. Whatever you might think of Lana, she doesn't add things like this unintentionally.
She's also asked why she's even going through all this to revive one dead guy. She basically responds with "cause he's a legend!" Allegorical to why does WB want to make another Matrix? Not the most compelling reason... Things seem to be fine without him/without another Matrix movie.
On a similar note, there's lots of references to fanboyism. This is pretty much the experience Lana has. I'll elaborate more on this when I edit this post more later.
In the end everything turns out okay though. Everyone seems happy. Maybe that's the point. She makes the movie she wants, Warner Bros, and ultimately the fans still gets their Matrix 4.
Is it what you expected?
You expected Neo to be The One to save the day, but it was Trinity. Well you went through a lot to revive the dead guy but he's not happy until he's reunited with what he loves. But is she happy where she is? She realizes she's not happy, she needs him too. They need each other. You can't just make another Matrix without Lana, without others who were close to her. Keanu and Carrie-Ann both stated they wouldn't have done this had it not been for Lana.
There's interviews with Lana you can hear more about her thoughts in creating this movie. One of which she refers to Rembrandt and one of his last paintings after all sorts of trauma happened in his life. She also recently went through trauma in her life. "What am I gonna do? I guess I'll make another painting" /shrug is how she puts it. Guess I'll make another movie.
She's also stated the movie is really coming from her life, her grief. She did this to work with people she was close with who knew her parents, others who would understand her grief. She puts a lot of importance in helping other people, doing things for others.
The entire movie is meta. She even points out how no one gets the first Matrix. People are still binding themselves to the rules. It's about freeing your mind, and that's why she is breaking more and more rules people have set in their minds about what The Matrix as a franchise is.
Need I go on?
Edit: I've added some more stuff, will come back later. Merry Christmas everyone! Don't have a... Blue... Christmas”

I feel like this movie is the polar opposite of interstellar
that movie had a mediocre script with one of the best executions I've ever seen
I left interstellar crying when I saw it
I saw it a second time and I was like ... ok this is mid as f***
