nah, I don't think she tried at all, the reasons because she did it are still unclear to me, I don't know if it was to piss of the studio and show story was more important than everything else, was it time constraints and she had to do it fast or they would give it to someone else

anything could have happened

as I said before , I believe a lot of love was given to the script, ideas and concepts

and I even investigated why the movie looked so bad
