I had such a hard time grasping the game design to the point i legit started questioning yo what if the entire Matrix trilogy WAS just an imagined thing in Neo’s head

If we saw him develop the trilogy and age over past 18 years footage throughout with various writers in an episodic form in a way in one long movie .

what i dont get is if ai smith morpheus was in the modal but then they show us scenes of the og trilogy and we see lawrence fishburne there and those are supposedly scenes from the game its like wtf so in the modal its 2 characters that act like morpheus or am i confused i only saw movie once so far

Yea but the scenes from The video game were based off of dormant memories NEO had. Same reason he made Morpheus in his game a combination of Morpheus and Smith, he was subconsciously tryna get himself out of the matrix again. So he made a character based off the two beings that effected him the most.

Same reason why he felt drawn to Trinity without fully understanding why
