Terrible take, dkr action was very forgettable

Especially bane vs batman round 2 aka batman using the exact same strategy that got his back broke only he wins this time cuz its the end of the movie

This movies action is meh especially compared to other matrix movies

There is no discussion to have about this movie in regard to theme or plot. It is an explicit, transparent movie. If you take its actual plot seriously, you are a baby with keys jangling in your face. If you attempt to grapple with its themes, you are talking back to the characters on screen. Either way, you aren't getting anywhere.

Now I think there is a conversation to be had about this film being aesthetically so unappealing. It is so uncool and ugly and plasticized. The scene in the Shire when they're talking about the heist? The ridiculous Zion 2.0 balcony shot? Morpheus' ugly suits? The Pixar robots? This movie is disgusting to look at. You know what would be original? Maybe continuing the distinct 90s rave s*** that set it apart from other film properties even then!

Lana said during an interview at the premiere, and i'm paraphrasing:

20 years ago we did groundbreaking action scenes that involved Kungfu, only to find that everyone has been copying us since, it would be redundant to imitate myself when others have been doing that for us, and instead i found it more interesting to delve into the impact of the online sphere/internet and reflect on the impact it had on us through for example the Merovingian and his monologue. Which was deliberately more humorous than it was stylistically "badass" or action oriented.
