I thought you liked the movie now
I thought you liked the movie now
I like the movie. I hate seeing a grown man b**** about people hating him. I rarely even get on here but when I do itās just him whining. Like f*** man⦠get some b****es
Movie was great didn't goin expecting the same impact the trilogy first presented that wasn't going to happen, did a good job of bringing the Matrix into todays world.
Not sure how many theories y'all went over already but I 'm sure y'all talked about two things.
One is this movie actually just a video game?
Two, "The One" is more like "The One's" Now with Trinity being able to fly. She always took a back seat but now she's on the same level as Neo.
With that being said and the dialog they had with Agent Smith, The a***ysist, Gotta be a M5 coming.

Itāll be interesting to see where they take 5 if they do it. Similar to the first movie thereās so many loose ends to explore. Hopefully they can take their time with it

How should he have reacted then to people attacking him and following him everywhere for liking this movie?

Yup we touched upon those
The first half had a lot of us questioning whether all of it was truly a game all along. And i like how the movie kind of kept it ambiguous until the events started happening in the second half. I wouldnāt rule out the Matrix being a game but i think it is just one of many plausible explanations left deliberately open to explore.
And about āThe Oneāsā, like @ShintaroKago pointed out, Smith says to Neo āI can be everyone and everyone can be youā. Kind of alluding that āThe Oneā is inside all of us. And i also loved how Trinity took centre stage as the one during this movie.
I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment that thereās plenty of material to build upon for M5. Although sadly enough a lot of people seem to agree that the Neo-Trinity dynamic is done and should stop here to focus on other characters. And some say another director should take charge for a more dark/slow-paced aesthetic.
Like you said this movie wasnāt going to be the og trilogy which i also didnāt anticipate and it feels just as chaotic and cluttered as the modern times we live in, i think the humor thatās weaved through it in combination with themes of mental health and game/internet/brands/blockbusters/companies totally makes it a contemporary rendition of the Matrix which is why i love it so much.
