Idk man but i just can't see this movie being anything special. Sure, the casting is great, but with Matt Reeves directing i doubt we will get anything that's new or interesting. You don't always have to invent the wheel, but making a Batman film thats just like any other superhero movie is such a waste. Say what u want about Joker, but atleast they tried to make something kinda different. And yea yea, i know the movie's not even out yet and s***, but im just skeptical

Honestly this entire movie feels like fan service. The whole detective story angle is just what fans been screaming for since Nolan’s trilogy ended and most of the casting just isn’t very interesting. WB clearly chose Robert Pattinson because not only is he an indie darling at the moment but the casual movie goer still only remembers him for Twilight so they knew by casting him they’d create some controversy, it was a calculated decision. Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman seems like fan casting and so did Jonah Hill before he dropped out.

The Arkham Asylum storyline was just rehashed from Ben Affleck’s script so atm I’m not really excited for Matt Reeves’ take on Batman because it doesn’t feel like his own unique vision.

You don’t know f***ing s*** about this movie yet besides a couple of rumor reports and confirmed casting, and Reeves is one of the most ambitious choices we could’ve possibly gotten. Did you not just see Todd Phillips make Joker? His filmography isn’t 1/4th as regarded or good as Reeves you deadass wrote an essay saying absolutely f***all of relevance and complete inaccuracy

As a Batman fan, the promise of us finally getting Detective Batman in live action after all these years is a f***ing plus. I can see this being a Se7en esque mystery especially with all the rogues in it (which is exciting as hell Idk what some of y'all are complaining about).
