As someone who took a class on specifically this when your unvierse or writing gets to the point of needing a world bible you need a God, Jesus, Disciples all that know the core soul of your franchise
I love the MCU & Feige did something unparalleled with that universe. I just wish that he AND the fans were open to letting the MCU take more risks & not discounting anything that doesn’t fit its formula.

It’s annoying to see “I don’t know if we needed the Batman” cause we don’t NEED any superhero movie. But to act like they’ll stop making Batman movies is dumb. Obviously we will always get new versions.

That critique never makes sense to me.
We've gotten 2 Spiderman reboots, and 5 Spidey films since The Dark Knight Rises released. 6 if you count Into The Spiderverse.
But for some reason people act like a new Batman film is "too much Batman"

Because once all those solo people popped you lost any momentum all your solos suddenly took place in different time periods no connection to central plot. Just random s***. You know what's funny? He actually did get all the freedom he needed with a movie of his own (Army of the Dead) and that s*** was a disaster. I'm a fan of what he does in the visuals department, but he's just not a good writer. He needs a team.

I know Army of the Dead dealt with his distinct issue of adding too much in with glimmers of hope. Writing wise he isn't what the fans think nor DOES HE HAVE TO BE and thats okay. You don't have to be and do everything perfectly. He over extends himself then when he does we hold him accountable because he says specific story choices are his then his fans get mad when we call out those poor story choices
