Very underwhelmed. Just bored by the end, production is so by the numbers.
Yea which kinda sucks cause he worked with one half of the Mount Kimbie duo for this project so I was hella excited
I havenât made it all the way through yet but yâall might be tweaking
Production on the intro was very good
I don't get what y'all expected out of a maxo album
this is in no way a step down from lil big man. singles are the standouts tho which may be why people are disappointed.

Still a good album
But lil big man holds a special place.

So what happened between him and liv.e? I was surprised her features were in his album
This is one of the first sLums type albums where the tropes of the sound really wore on me to the point of getting a little annoying, which is a bummer
Didnât care much for the beats, didnât expect much lyrically because Iâm not coming to Maxo for bars but it was more than a little repetitive and didnât really pull me into their journey of personal development (which I usually wonât fault an album for, but that felt like the explicit goal here and itâs not executed as well as, say, MIKE or Liv.eâs recent albums did)
Little Big Man was fluff, but it was great fluff. You could set it in the background or give it your full attention, it felt warm and pleasant. This isnât bad, but itâs also not good and a bit of a slog

Spot on
I remember awhile ago when Siifu mentioned this album was gonna be super jazzy⌠I was expecting production similar to âCall tha Broâ or even that last FlySiifuâs album
But man the jazz influences are just way too lowkey and subtle on here, itâs too generic. These are beats for a C-list Dreamville/TDE artist man

Knew they dated

something about the production on here just feels so shallow

"Maxoâs independent rap origins and earnest delivery soon brought him to Def Jam, whose A&Rs scoured his SoundCloud uploads before extending a contract. Today, he says that this will likely be his final record for the storied label. âI wouldnât recommend anybody to sign to a label, especially not Def Jam,â he says. âShoutout to them for what they allowed me to do, but anybody that respects me is going to know that they are just a part of what has already been written.â
