He might be the most slept on rapper in terms of casuals would love him if he had the major label marketing, package and A&R but his uniqueness only exists bc he completely self reliant
Nigga be talking crazy
Probably one of my fav song this year, I'm just mad the album didn't follow the same production line
“it’s ruins my whole day when my baby mama mad at me” nigga on the track talkin about my life

What’s his best s***
Aethiopes/Hiding Places
i prefer Hiding Places a lot more though tbh, production is insane

tbh nothing about his style is really too accessible anyways lol
cryptic writing, very abstract production choices half the time, he’s gr8 though
s***s craaazy
Listening now as I roll up
s***s craaazy
Just got to this one
What’s his best s***
Depends on what you want to get out of his work tbh, or what you like most in his music
Hiding Places is the magnum opus, it’s actually actually for real for real perfect. Maps is his most accessible
Brass, with Moor Mother, is slow, heavy and sharp. It’s a must-listen, thats really an essential as well
Aethiopes is – I don’t want to say it’s more academic because it’s not, but the literary aspect of his work is more pronounced. woods said he was reading at a really heavy volume during the writing and recording of that one, so it comes through
We Buy Diabetic Test Strips is super varied with the palette of sounds but it’s also really easy to get locked in with it’s register, great entry point to his work with Elucid
Paraffin is frequently fast and brutal but offsets that with slower numbers with beats that are almost ambient. It presents as an OB4CL-style* onslaught of bars but if you let it marinate, theres this brilliantly heavy thematic through-line of being stuck in never ending loops/routes/cycles on all the levels we experience: the cosmic, the temporal, behavioral, metaphysical, historic. It’s f***ing insane
Church is pretty focused on his travails in the weed game, but it’s very dour. Lots of good personal tracks on that one
I’m leaving a lot out. He has a TON of albums and none are bad, in the last 4 years I think he’s put out 10+ projects either solo or collaborating
(*OB4CL if Ghostface was a warlock and Raekwon got really into Aime Cesaire)
