mbdtf isnt really that dated. all his earlier albums from graduation and before are more dated. WTT much more dated. yes yeezus is less dated but thats cuz it ventured further from pop than mbdtf. its held up incredibly well imo. not putting drake on all of the lights and instead using that silly fergie verse... hindsight such an amazing call that drake verse (which I admit was hype and fire from what I remember) would have dated it so hard with his old voice. also nicki not really dropping any classics helped mbdtf as well. i was just listening to the opener and monster and was like ehhh sounds pretty good still but couldnt help but think if we had to listen to nicki rap in all those ridiculous voices for the last 9 years it would have aged much worse.
that said, i currently have yeezus over mbdtf. both are amazing but yeezus simply is so much better mix-wise/audio quality wise. listen to both in a car? mbdtf prob takes number 1 but its close. listen on a nice pair of headphones or speaker? yeezus improves vastly while the flaws in mbdtf just get exposed. for me since I listen to most of my music that way, im currently of the opinion yeezus #1 but mbdtf #2 overall. but I can't get behind OPs slander of mbdtf tho. its literally still an amazing album, has dated well (plus is 3 years older) and anytime im driving for an hour + u know im bumping mbdtf such an experience that makes time fly. hopefully one day we get a remaster.
p.s. yeezus has aged well because current hiphop moved away from the mbdtf/wtt/old school hiphop lyricism. yeezus, while not the first to do that, it was well timed because after 2012/2013 it really started taking over and u can tell kanyes lyrics since then have followed that pattern. its whats hot now. f***ing complex lyricism is "uncool" and unless youre kendrick who has carved out his niche as woke but not fake deep, it just sounds like ur a try-hard. what I'm saying is lets wait until the lyrical trends move back the other way and then compare. still i think yeezus having such relative high fidelity will make it age better overall but mbdtf still sounds like a masterpiece
Twisted Fantasy has legitimate TIMELESS records, Yeezus is "futuristic" music that always sounds more dated in the long run
I'd argue that yeezus sounding futuristic and not really pop friendly (no one on the charts followed the trends of yeezus which is really what dates stuff the most imo) will make it age well.
also imma take this time to remind everyone how well TLOP has aged. when it first came out I like several parts but i had major gripes. now, while not yeezus or mbdtf level, its def like totally worthy of being in his discog. just funny cuz everyone was like haha trap hi hats, this is gunna sound so dated. but it sounds like the future still
yeezus is only talked on ktt thats why it was in the top 20 of the decade on every list
Except it's not. Critically was the number one album of 2013 and was also included in nearly all Best of thr Decade lists

thats what i was saying b. best album oat
Yeezus so overrated on KTT lol. Y'all can just say "Yeezus was my first Kanye album so its my favorite"
Lmao it’s true, Pt 2 is the most dated song in Kanye’s discography
Man, what? it may have heavily sampled Panda, but the sample placement within the song is genius. When Ye gives that super emotional verse, then goes “I’ll be taking all the stacks” & Desiigner comes in with “credit cards and the scammers, hittin’ licks in the bando” it fits perfectly. Almost like Ye is robbing a f***ing bank
Not to mention the crazy synths at the start, the “Perfect” producer tag, and the incredible 30 second outro
Compare Pt. 2 to any song on Ye. Pt. 2 aged better than any song on that album

Objectively true post tbh
MBDTF is better than Yeezus every way possible tho.
Yeezus just a failed edgy experimental project
MBDTF = aotd across several media outlets.
Yeezus = only talked about on KTT
You tried :word:
Yeezus was the most acclaimed album of 2013.. I hate to come to this sxn and read so much nonsense
