I'm mostly giving this to the fact that their cgi teams are overworked but it seems like all the new MCU fight scenes since endgame are very lackluster.

I was watching fight scenes from the newest Dr strange and if you compare them to the Dr Strange fight scenes in infinity war it's so ass it's crazy.
Has the MCU fallen off in giving us dope fight scenes?

Deadpool and Wolverine fight scenes the one in front of the Fox logo and in the car were good imo

Other than Winter Soldier, their fight scenes have been nothing special imo. Almost always been CGI f***fests

I’d argue super powers don’t lend itself for making a great fight scene cause the powers kinda get in the way of hand to hand combat

Which is why most of our favorite fights deal with characters who are more brawlers like Captain America, Wolverine, Daredevil, Batman

Raimi was able to do some great fights with Spider-Man but since then there hasn’t been many

I think Spidey vs Lizard school fight or Spidey vs Goblin in NWH are the two that come closest. Homecoming my favorite of the new movies but there wasn’t really a great fight scene in it

anymore? when did they ever hit consistently? their fight choreography outside of winter soldier and shang chi has always been complete ass

they also completely suck at handling scale and making the heroes look and feel powerful. DC does a much better job at this at least

way too much CGI, way too many slow mo shots trying to get money shots, and not enough actual choreo and focus on cool ways to use powers

the car one in new deadpool was fire ??

you can have dope fights with powers. for example I'd say marvel did super speed in the eternals better than any other hero movie

this was a pleasant surprise compared to the typical ridiculous slow mo way of handling this type of power

Seeing two invincible damage sponges stabbing each other repeatedly doesn’t do much for me.

We’ve traded in fight scenes for set pieces.
