I can see the content/message having a resurgence, and honestly a large portion of hip-hop sounds dated and people still fw it.

There are just people who have listened to a lot of hip-hop and and kinda numb to the sound, but there is also a large portion of people still just getting into it, and things like this would still be fresh to them.

Its also just a confluence of the way music is consumed too, new music can be anachronistic and it doest even matter.

agree! feels like ab soul / clockwork indigo all over again. i’m cool with commentary but the “open your eyes” mantra jus gets patronizing after a while

although i feel like meech shouldve dropped a solo project 5 years ago i'll definitely check it out first single is cool.

These two singles are such a goddamn drag, the first one is nihilistic to a fault and Get Lit or Die Trying sounds super hollow when you listen to it right after. Hopefully the full album isn't so intensely didactic
