Saw this on Reddit but decided to share here (link to original post below). The organization itself posts about it on the internet, so this isn’t private or privileged information.

The Job Creators Network is a right wing/conservative organization founded by one of Trumps largest donors, and ran by previous and current heads of mega corporations (source 1) / (source 2).

This organization filed a lawsuit on behalf of two people who didn’t qualify for the program. The case went to Judge Pittman who subsequently ruled the program as unconstitutional.

“We are happy about yesterday’s decision to stop Biden’s student loan bailout. And while we expect that the president will appeal this decision, we are confident that we will win in the end and protect American taxpayers and stand by our plaintiffs.” Daniel Di Martino, a fellow at the Job Creators Network Foundation, told the Daily Caller. “We are even more confident after the midterm elections that come January the new House of Representatives will also sue the administration and join the existing lawsuits, solving any potential standing issue that looms over these cases.”

yeah and the ironic thing is, this Student Loan Relief would actually probably cause more people get into higher interest debt in the end anyway, thus still creating a demand and dependency on jobs.

i know a lot of people who would take a loan on a house if their student loans were lowered or completely gone - a more profitable debt by far i'm sure

the opposition to this from these conservative advocacy groups doesn't even really make sense. if most student debt was owned by private organizations, i could in a perverse manner at least somewhat understand them being against it because they want to profit off of the interest, but that's not the case, 92% of debt is owned by the government already. the money being forgiven isn't like it's being reallocated elsewhere, it's already outstanding and if i had to guess mathematically, the amount made back to the government through taxes from them re-entering the job market would likely be at least equivalent or more than leaving outstanding debt that will never be paid back.

even from a pure conservative standpoint, the #1-2 reason why younger generations don't want to have kids is literally cited as financial issues from lack of stable income and high amounts of outstanding debt. Almost every single study of younger people shows a correlation between high outstanding debt and lack of willingness to have kids. it should be well in "real" conservative's interests to ease financial burdens to allow people to have families

of course none of these people are real conservatives, they're braindead political actors who just don't want to hand small victories to opposing parties even if it supposedly benefits their worldview
