She abandoned the Houston sound completely when she “blew up”. Big Ole Freak was a prime of example of embracing that H-town sound, but ever since she signed with Roc Nation there hasn’t been any music remotely close to that.
Also she also completed abandoned her management team when she also signed with Roc Nation.
Doing a collab with Beyonce is not putting Houston on her back.
I also haven’t heard any Houston OGs backing her.
