This ain't even a knock to rappers who be rapping about the same bullshit most of the time, if it works then it works. Y'all just gotta either keep that same energy or not listen and shut up.
Like we've gone thru a couple decades of Wayne rapping bout eating p**** and we said whatever. You got women rapping bout suckin d*** and it's an issue. Is it really about the lack of substance, or is it that y'all don't relate to what women rap about? I mean it's cool if it's the latter, it be like that. But maybe just don't listen to it cause it's probably not for you? Ion know man I feel like it's more behind the hate than just the substance.

To be fair they both got criticism, Carti's whole generation got shat on when they first came out. Carti's just been around long enough to get a fanbase.

All these rappers you named had been criticized at least once for their repetitive subject matter/lack their of.
Female rappers get the same treatment because 99% are a carbon copy of each other just like how every street rapper is copy of another, but at least with street rappers they switch up the subject matter from time to time.
