Its not even about the subject matter.

I feel its the quality of her writing and bars that is lacking.

Kim, Foxy, Trina, etc. had solid to long runs with the same persona and gimmick so it can definitely be done. But Pusha T for example is a lot more clever when it comes to his writing than Meg is, even in his earlier days.

It wouldnt be a problem if rap fans didnt gas the "she writes her own raps" thing. Thats my problem with female rap now is that a lot of them, particularly those who grew up idolizing Nicki, feel they deserve a participation award just for writing their own verses, but their actual talent at writing raps arent high enough to justify bragging about it, at least in my view.

I usually follow female rap pages on IG followed by Women, and they all give Kim her credit for the most part.

Men dont really support female rap, they just support a female rapper if she looks good. But most Male Rap fans cant tell you anything beyond who is most buzzing, so it makes sense that you havent seen anyone talk about her Music as a whole over the last decade bc its been all about Nicki and Cardi.

Notorious KIM is a very good album and its best songs are better than Hardcore imo (Aunt Dot, Notorious KIM, etc. in particular). There is some filler though. Shes less technical w/ her raps than on Hardcore but her sharpness and delivery was its best on this album.

La Bella Mafia is a great album and has no skips imo

The Naked Truth has some filler but its probably her best post-Biggie album in terms of bars and lyricism and its her most personal album as well.

9 is a very good album imo, the only songs I dont like are Go Awwf and the song with City Girls. She tries to fit in with the sound of modern rap but she does it better than most older rappers who have tried imo. But if you really like her older music, youll probably hate it.
