Most of the “rigging” happens with trying to get nominated. That’s where all the backroom politics happens. The actual voting process to pick the winners is abysmal though. I’m sure label executives might give certain voters incentives to vote for their artist etc. It’s just that so many of the voters are often times ill informed of various categories, and either vote just off name recognition for genres they’re not familiar with, or will leave various categories blank on the voting sheet. That causes the little that do vote, to weigh more.
