  • While everybody has been focusing on staying healthy physically, has anybody felt or noticed an upswing in mental health problems? Feeling scared or hopeless or etc?

    This has been a nightmare

Definitely has been an upswing in mental health problems.

Not to take away the already upswing of mental health issues arising in modern days though. Could be from more people coming forward and expressing their feelings, or we could all just actually be getting more mentally unwell. Most likely a mix of both

  • I wouldn’t doubt it lol rarely do I see positive stuff when I check the media.

  • At first I was really scared to go thru my anxiety by myself while literally feeling like Im being locked up in my house without no freedom and I was stressing about pre pandemic too cuz I felt like I was literally forgetting how to communicate w people, considering I already have hella social anxiety.

But I spent my time during pandemic taking care of myself and staying away from other people's drama so I think it was even good to me.

Staying by yourself sometimes really helps you cuz f*** frank ocean, I know how much I matter when Im all alone

Especially those from abusive households. I can only imagine what those people are going through . Its really a blessing to have chilled parents.

i was expecting something like this to happen so tbh i have just been chilling
plus i still work so besides not going shopping twice a week, eating out sometimes, and going to a bar occasionally, not much has really changed for me
oh btw this is just the beginning of the slow descent into societal collapse so dont expect a return to normal

    True.
I assume that is an extremely tough time for them, not saying it would not be without the pandemic.

Also hope that because many people felt isolated, anxious etc., their is more aceptance and more understanding for people who suffer from mental health issues.
I feel in Germany, there is some sort of a stigma, when you have depression, anxiety or panic attacks. Hopefully that will change.
Corona also showed that the goverment must do more regarding mental health sector. There must be more support for people who want to become a psychologist, because there are to few. At the moment you can't even get an appointment for the next 6 Months. People should not wait for that long and sometimes (sadly) can't...
