How is it? Two tracks I heard this morning were fire
A year late, but it’s her best work since 2009 imo
her full NSJ '96 set dropped!. '94 otw soon hopefully
Just saw her 🥺. Set was abt 20 mins, she was opening smh.. she played all new songs except for dead end
very happy that she’s coming here a few days after my bday & I will be able to see her solo at a more intimate venue 🥲
justin hicks' involvement is nearly overwhelming on here but i understand why he was utilized so heavily given the potency of his voice

like i lowkey missed meshell's singing during parts of this but I understand that her mellow vocal style & limited range bar her from evoking the levels of intensity, dread, terror, sorrow, & urgency that hicks is able to deliver which are key to faithfully actualizing a sonic impression of baldwin's work.
Missed this jazz cover of 112’s “Anywhere” that could’ve snugly fit on 2018’s Ventriloquism
“Love” is stuck in my head
soty contender for me. easily bass line of the year.
To live in love
Is to be uncertain
To live in love
Is to bear the burden
Of so many
Who yearn to know
My life matters"Love does not begin and end the way we seem to think it does
Love is battle, love is a war
Love is growing up, love takes off the mask that we fear we cannot live without
And know we cannot live within"
so so true.
“Hatred” is so 80s power ballad (sans guitar)/prince-esque. really sad nd beautiful
